Happy New Year

Happy New Year! It's hard to believe that we are over half way through the school year.

Report Cards will be going home this Friday, January 18th. Students are in the process of writing Semester 2 goals. This goal sheet will come home with your child's report card. Students and parents will be expected to review and discuss report cards and also students goal sheets while focusing on goals and ways they can improve and continue to show positive growth. Parents and students will both sign and return this goal sheet once it has been reviewed together. I am so happy and proud of each of my students growth this past semester, both academically and as individuals. We have a very special and motivated group in D-7 who enjoy learning and each other!

Our Field Trip to San Juan Bautista will be on Friday, January 25th from 7:50-3:00. Notice that this trip is longer than our "normal" school day. We will be leaving by 8:00 on chartered busses from the front of our school. More detailed information will come home prior to this trip. The following parents will be chaperoning on this trip: Amie Gill, Julie Graham, Shakeela, Hurt-Lincoln, Mike Low, and Gurinder Sandhu.

On Thursday, 1/17, we will have another Meet the Masters lesson in our classroom from 11:15-12:00. I have a parent lead already but VOLUNTEERS (3-4) ARE NEEDED TO COME IN AND ASSIST AND KEEP THE KIDDOS ENGAGED:)

Also, I am looking for Friday afternoon helpers (1-2) to help with grading and filing in the classroom. The sign up genius link is on this website for Friday clerical helpers. Remember you must be cleared through Be a Mentor to be able to come into the classroom.

The Tassajara Hills Foundation and PTA work hard to help supplement and support the staff and students at Tassajara Hills! Many of our fabulous programs are funded by Foundation and supported by PTA. I am VERY THANKFUL for their continued support!
