My name is Lindsey Stockman and I am so excited for another wonderful year at Tassajara Hills Elementary! This new school year is like no other and I look forward to an amazing year full of challenges, exploration, fun, and growth! Here's a little bit about me.
I graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Multicultural Studies. After my undergraduate education, I attended graduate school at the Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont where I earned my Elementary Teaching Credential and Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I have been teaching for 10 years and have taught in a variety of grade levels from kindergarten to fourth grade in the bay area. I am a bay area native, growing up in Half Moon Bay, living in the city for school, and then moving to the East Bay after I married my husband five years ago.
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy staying busy with cooking, traveling, yoga, hiking, reading, and entertaining my friends and family (safely!) at my home.
I look forward to working with you to have a fantastic year in second grade!

I encourage you to help your student develop good habits early in the school year. Listed below are a few suggestions to help you start the year off right:
- Establish an appropriate bedtime so that your student is well rested and ready for school each day
- Set up a quiet work area for your student to do their homework daily
- Read together daily; this is necessary for your student to develop into a proficient reader
- Send a nutritious snack for morning recess and a sack lunch, lunch money, or have your student use a lunch debit card that you have already placed money on by clinking the link .
- Label all coats, sweaters, etc. with student’s name
- Help your child keep their desk organized by sending only requested supplies to school
